This has been quite an eventful week in a way. I’ve spent all week working on final projects and studying for tests. I’m really ready for the break. I finally got an appointment at home to see a doctor so he can tell me what has been going on and why i have been so sick lately. I’m really getting tired of it.

Other than that the snow was nice this week. The wind storms not so much. i was a lot of tree branches in places that tree branches aren’t suppose to be. I guess thats what happens in a storm though.

hey all,

i don’t even know what week it is anymore. i know i missed a blog a week about and we didn’t need to blog thanksgiving break but this has been a crazy few weeks. I’m kind of ready for the semester to be over

Once again i am sick. I don’t know what kind of a bug i got going on but it is not pleasant. I was stuck in bed for the better part of break. Then when i wasn’t stuck in bed we had some good old fashioned family drama to top off a wonderful break. Snow probably would’ve made it a little better because its pretty and i feel like its not as cold when its snowing for some reason. Right now its just that bitter cold outside that pierces your insides.

Not only have i not been feeling well i needed to break up with my boyfriend this past week and that sucked really bad. it was one of the hardest things i had to do but our relationship just wasn’t doing either one of us any good at the current moment. : (

Luckily we have blackboard so i’ve gotten to work on my final project a little this week. i still have like 4 or so pages but i should have it done in no time. That is if my lovely computer saved it. I get scared sometimes becuase it has messed me up on several occassions by not really saving the blogs i tell it to.

This week our group decided on the website that we will use for our digital storytelling project.

We all agreed that this site would be the easiest for us to navigate and sort out our pictures and such. We also have our outline available on our group wikipage on the blackboard site, It is there to be viewed if anyone is interested otherwise you can just wait until we post our finished project for people to view : )

Week 10 belated : (

Once again i apologize that my post is this late. I got on here again to write this weeks blog and saw that my week 10 didn’t post.

Week 10 we spent time pretty much working with our groups on our projects. We went over a few sites that we can use but other than that we got our story outline out of the way.

Theres not much else i can post about class for week 10. I can however say that i had an interesting week. One of my roommates got arrested on wednesday night and was taken away. I have never seen anyone arrested before it kind of scared that crap out of my when the police came and knocked on the door asking for her. It was very interesting and quite a new experience.

This week we started talking about our digital storybook projects. We were assigned our groups on tuesday. Today my group decided what we are going to do our project on and that we need to meet in the library. We just haven’t figured out when we are going to get together. I think that our story really is something close to home that everyone can appericiate. It should be super fun.

I cannot believe that this is so late. As i was getting ready to type my blog for this week i realized that my previous blog didn’t post. So when i tried to post it, wordpress kept telling me that it wasn’t able to post. weird. right? i guess.

Last week i learned how to insert hyperlinks into powerpoint and word docs. Which was kind of interesting. I never kneow how to do that before or how my teachers in highschool could make a jeopardy game on powerpoint. I really found that helpful.

Week 6

This week we worked on a few different things in class. Tuesday we were introduced to cameroid which is a photo processing program. It reminds me a lot of photo booth on the mac. It is a cool program that creats interesting pictures. We also did some editing things on microsoft word. The thing that I liked learning about most was the hyperlinking. Thats the only thing in word that i didn’t know how to do. Which i will definatly now be using in the future for projects that i use on word and submit online. I will also be using this tool in my classroom for my lectures and presentations. Then today we learned about Prezi and had time to experiment and create a personal presentation about ourselves. Prezi is a presentation tool that is much more fun than powerpoint is. I attached mine for anyone to view who is viewing my blog if they choose to.

unfortunatly theres nothing really new that i can report about learning this week in class. I missed both classed this week because i was sick and couldn’t get to class. Thankfully i could finally get in to see a doctor and i will be back to class on tuesday. : )

This has been a kind of crazy week for me. I’ve been dealing with a cold. At first i was scared that i might have the swine flu. As it turns out its not i’m just sick. Then i got called for a job interview and i need a job to so i went in and the hired me. So I finally found a job which is kind of exciting. Our modules for micro apps were due this week so i’ve also been working on that and getting it together.

We learned about social bookmarking in class this week. The site in particular was delicious.com. The thing i thought most interesting wasn’t wasn’t actually the social bookmarking but the thing i did find ineresting was the site that i thought was the most interesting was a bookmark about student behaviors and suggesions of how to handle them in your classroom. I thought it was a really informative page. However, when i got home to print it out i couldn’t find it. I am still in the process of trying to find itso i can shar the page with other people. When i do find it ill post it.
